Mammal Boxes
Bat Boxes
Bat boxes can help provide safe roost sites and nurseries where natural sites are becoming scarce. They should fixed high on tree trunks, preferably in groups of two or three to give the bats a choice of sites according to the time of year and weather conditions. For more information visit The Bat Conservation Trust www.bats.org.uk

Bat Box £10.00 (£17.50 pair)
Hedgehox Boxes
Hedgehogs are the gardeners friend; eating large numbers of snails and slugs every night. Hedgehog boxes are used for day time hideaways, as well as nest chambers and safe places to hibernate. Place the box in a sheltered, undisturbed corner of your garden and fill with dead leaves or hay. The tunnel on this box allows the hedgehog access but prevents cats and foxes from getting in. Surround the box with logs to shelter it further and help keep the sleeping hogs warm inside. For more information visit The Mammal Society www.abdn.ac.uk/mammal/

Hedgehog Box £25.00
Dormouse Boxes
Dormice are rare and secretive arboreal mammals. Place these boxes in mature woodland with plenty of natural nut and fruit-bearing bushes such as Hazel. They should be quite near to ground level, and ideally tied to tree trunk (entrance hole is on the back). For more information visit The Mammal Society www.abdn.ac.uk/mammal/
